Villareal re-signs with Braves

The Braves and Oscar Villareal have agreed to a one-year, $925,000 contract; he was the only player still in arbitration. The contract also includes incentives that could be worth another $100,000 based on how many games Oscar starts and finishes. He'll receive three points for each start and one point for every game finished; $25,000 bonuses will be paid for 30, 39, 48, and 60 points.

That's very cheap considering the contracts that most relievers have gotten this offseason.

I mean, the Mariners signed Rietsma for $2 million. I would pay Rietsma $2 to NOT pitch for the Braves.

Yeah, this isn't a bad signing at all. Seriously, with the depth in the 'pen and certain guys in it, I really think this could end up being the best bullpen in the Majors. And we all learned how important this is during last year's horror show...
